December 16, 2018

Inquiry welcomes MARTHA H. KENNEDY. She is the curator of popular and applied graphic art in the Prints and Photographs Division of the Library of Congress. Her new profusely illustrated book is a history of women artists who worked as a cartoonist, comic book artists, political cartoonists, commercial illustrators, and even courtroom artists: DRAWN TO PURPOSE: AMERICAN WOMEN ILLUSTRATORS AND CARTOONISTS.

Have you ever heard of the “Pig-N-Ford” Races? Long to-do some Bog Snorkeling? Dwile Flonking? Tonight on Inquiry we welcome  British-American graphic designer  NIGEL HOLMES to talk about his wonderful and beautiful compendium: CRAZY COMPETITIONS: 100 WEIRD AND WONDERFUL RITUALS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.
